Do you have an employee referral program?

Yes! PVT considers our employees to be our greatest asset. When growing our organization we ask for your help in the identification of high-quality new employees.

Employees will receive $1000.00 for referring an operator and $500.00 for referring a swamper who is hired and successfully completes their three-month probationary period.

The referred employee must be in good standing by way of attendance and have gained the skills necessary to do the job for which they were referred.

  • The employee referral must be documented on the Hiring Checklist or in the orientation/onboarding process of the new employee to qualify. Referrals that are documented after the fact may not qualify for the referral bonus.
  • PVT Group employees may refer new applicants in any pay/qualification range, either above, below or at the same pay/qualification grade as themselves, or any other positions.
  • There is no limit to the number of referrals an employee may provide.
  • Managerial employees are exempt from participating in the program.

Has your Company assessed its carbon footprint?

We recently purchased 1 hybrid unit and expect to replace more units with hybrid technology. PVT is also researching the possibility of using electric powered trucks and other green energy options in our practices.

We are in the process  of performing an internal carbon footprint assessment to establish a baseline that we can improve upon. Stay tuned for more information!

Does PVT have any emission reduction strategies? PVT has looked at a number of strategies in order to reduce emissions. Firstly, we believe in reducing empty miles: Never Drive Empty is a program we are developing which can reduce hours of drive time and fuel utilization by more than 50%. As well, PVT has implemented an anti-idle campaign where a set target of no more than 10% idle- time, PVT’s geotracking system tracks idle- time and target that to be less than 10%
overall engine run time. Although, this program is in its infancy, drivers are rewarded with a bonus for achieving this, to help accomplish this PVT provides housing and camps in order to ensure drivers do not
stay in their vehicles. Accomplishing this target would be industry leading.
PVT has introduced a pilot program where hybrid vehicles will replace fleet vehicles. To date PVT has replaced 1 conventional diesel vehicle with a hybrid. PVT is also assessing a pilot conversion project to power heavy duty trucks using compressed natural gas (CNG).
Are you units equipped with GPS tracking systems? YES! All of our trucks are equipped with GPS tracking system giving our customers full real-time transparency.
