COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

PVT is committed to developing strong relationships with Indigenous communities in the areas we operate.

INDIGENOUS RELATIONS PLAN

PVT has initiated the development of an Indigenous Relations Plan, which is fully supported by senior management at PVT. Four main areas make up PVT’s Indigenous Relations Plan:

1
MANAGEMENT COMMITMENT
2
INDIGENOUS ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY
3
INDIGENOUS TRAINING PROGRAM
4
INDIGENOUS BUSINESS STRUCTURE
PVT is committed to maintaining respectful and meaningful relationships with the Indigenous communities in the areas we operate by pursuing partnerships with communities and Indigenous groups on business opportunities that deliver shared social and economic benefits, and working collaboratively to develop new and creative solutions.
We are dedicated to respecting the unique cultures and traditions of the Indigenous Peoples while working with Indigenous Peoples and their communities to provide sustainable employment. We are  continuously striving to understand Indigenous perspectives through engagement and dialogue with impacted Indigenous communities.

FULL TIME DRIVER TRAINER

PVT Group employs a full-time Driver Trainer, who offers ongoing training and support for both inexperienced and experienced employees. We have developed a program that teaches candidates general oilfield knowledge as well as the necessary skills to fulfill our positions (this includes Class 5 drivers who are not operating a unit that requires a Class 1 or Class 3).

The Driver Trainer has a separate program which allows PVT to train Class 5 drivers to receive their Class 1 drivers license. This program is available to new hires or current employees looking for career progression within PVT.

By investing significantly in training programs and actively recruiting within First Nations, we feel that we can continue to have success in supporting Indigenous communities.
